Yesterday was a big adventure day for Moxie and I as we started out. First we played then we cuddled and then we needed to be productive people. Also the fish Flippant was being a butt and saying crap about how we are so lazy so we put an end to that. We had a free vet visit check up so I called around and found a nice vet office in town that had a cancellation so we could get in today! So I went out and did some grocery shopping and stopped by the bank to pick up some cash for the vet visit. I got home and played on the internet because that is what you do but I also took some pic of Moxie.
“Hey Moxie pose for the camera!”
“Okay would you please smile?”
Okay I guess that will have to do.
Anyway we went to the vet in her stroller and she handle that very well no crying or fuss. We arrived early for the kitty doctor so we hung out a bit and chatted with the staff. Sorry no pics from that adventure. But we finally got to see the doctor and he was nice and I know now that Moxie weighs in at 6.8 lbs. so confirmed we just have a tiny cat on our hands. She is still suffering from a cold but she is doing fine with that. The doc was happy that we were leash training and that it was going well then she did get a shot before we left and she handled that well. All told she was great if not scared by the situation but she did not hate on me or the carrier when we got home. This morning she was playing in her carrier and we had much fun.
I hope everyone has a great day.
Since I was a kid apples have been my favorite fruit and to this day they are my go to fruit of choice. A few years ago someone had told me that apples cause diarrhea and I honestly didn’t believe it. My apple my perfect fruit of choice could not ever cause harm to anyone or be uncomfortable. When I was a child I would climb up apple trees or play Hide-N-Seek in orchards so they were perfect.
I went home sick today from work because I couldn’t stay out of the bathroom and I just feeling awful. As I tried and tried to get through my work but I finally went to my boss and told her I need to go home before I spent the rest of the day in the restroom. I came home and just tried to relax and drank much water. Finally I decided to look up my issue online and it was apples…. APPLES!?!?
Yes apples and my heart is just dying a bit because of this betrayal. I am going to try and find solutions to this and find ways to limit my apple intake to not cause this again.
Thank goodness I can still have some apples because they are wonderful but I now know they are a sneaky mistress. But there are many other fruit in the world I just have to make sure I do my research before I juice.
So I got home and I worked online for a bit and I realized I it was getting late and I hadn’t gotten my juice in today because of the disaster this morning… there is still green on one of my walls and I will have to get that off tomorrow because right now I just don’t have the energy. I decided to just to a simple Orange and Apple juice and I am sipping that smiling as if sunshine is in my belly. I am glad I finally started Juicing and I wish I could have started earlier but it’s never too late. It’s nice that I was gifted a Juicer years ago but prior to juicing I was blending up smoothies with berries, soy milk, and sometimes honey if it was lacking in sweet.
But I am feeling really good now so I think I might just go over and clean off the green from the wall. Oh I have learned a trick with cleaning the mesh filter in my juicer and that is to soak it with a bit of comet when I wash off everything else and then I scrub it out with a tooth brush to get the fibers out of the mesh. Anyway tomorrow I will not likely be posting anything because I have a long day but I will be posting later in the week.
In the past few days I have been juicing and I have found my energy increase in fact usually on my day off I have a nap half way through the day because of my lack of energy. It was really nice being able to get more done on my days off. Today I am doing 1 Orange, 2 apples, and 3 leaves of Kale. I am really liking the citrus in the juice and it makes the whole juice blended together smoother.
I hope everyone has a juice day!
Hey everyone I am testing out different combos of veggies and fruits to find something good to drink. I just pressed 2 apples, one lemon, and about 4 leaves of collard greens. It’s good but I needed add a teaspoon of cane sugar for my likes. I normally do not need to add much sugar to anything but this just needed something. I need to pick up some ginger to continue playing with my juicer.
Yup it’s the last week in January and all I can think about having a real garden to plant in this year. We are going to have drought conditions in most places and strange wildfires in California and Oregon currently. There are other things trying to distract me like the Syrian conflict, shootings in the U.S., the Winter Olympics but with all of the problems out there I just want to grow something.
I was asking my friend about her gardening plans and she let me know about another friend who was looking to split some seeds and order through the same company. She also said that another person was wanting to do a Start exchange. So of course I went crazy and created a spreadsheet in about an hour and copied and pasted planting and seeds for the right month and dreaming up this great network.
After taking a few bits to the grinding stone with the input of some folks my spreadsheet was done. I think my crazy was a bit too much but I am just so excited about having a garden this year and not just pots. My hope is that I can just get a few things to grow and that I can harvest a 3rd of what I can put in the ground.
Good luck everyone and never let anyone tamp down your excited feelings about gardening if you do it will never grow.
Found a good recipe I think that people would enjoy well I know I enjoy it. Going Vegan is easy with fun things like this to put in your mouth. I am still working on what I want to do about cheese because I know it is not so healthy but it’s so yummy. Forgive my weakness but I want to be happy and healthy.

Apparently I need to get a Purrsonal trainer to get in shape. Thank goodness for cats and dogs everywhere helping us humans get healthy enough to take care of them.
This video is beautiful and reminds me of how much kittens are important for laughter in your life. Please enjoy!
On Monday I had knee surgery to repair a badly torn meniscus and it was apparently went well in the operating room. My wonderful church family brought me meals so that I wouldn’t have to be up and standing cooking for too long. I have to say my church family can cook really well and I got introduced to baked oatmeal, a really tasty curry, and some awesome gumbo. Everyone was so wonderful to help me out and it made me feel even more humble.
I am mostly moving around really well but I think I over did it yesterday walking around because today I just slept and slept. It just goes to show that you should never over extend yourself too quickly or you body will make the call for you. I even got up early and dressed for a day out and about but I layed down for a rest and I didn’t wake till about 1pm.
Anyway I am still walking around well enough and feeling good but I am just making sure I take the time I need to heal. Thank you again to everyone who helped me out.
